Paper jams and error messages are the printer telling you what it needs. Clear jams gently and safely, then use the exact wording of any error to find the cause.

Turn off and unplug first
Switch the printer off and unplug it before reaching inside. Some parts get hot during printing — give it a few minutes to cool.

Pull paper in the direction it travels
Use both hands and pull slowly and evenly so the sheet doesn't tear. Check for small torn pieces left behind.

Reload paper properly
Fan the stack, keep it below the tray's fill line, and slide the guides so they touch the paper without bending it.

Write down the exact error
Error codes differ between models. Note the full text or code so you or our team can look it up for your model.
